| At ATO, we realize that academics are our top priority. We have a 2.50 GPA minimum requirement for any men interested in joining. Our success leads to members consistently on the Dean's List, receive academic scholarships and are enrolled in honors classes. With Almost every major represented, assistance is available from upper-classmen for fellow members that may be experiencing difficulty in the classroom. One look at our trophy case makes the Alpha Tau Omega's winning tradition look obvious. With outstanding records in all intramural sports, ATO has been the team to beat year after year! ATO represents itself on the playing fields of Southern Illinois University with members on the football team, track team, and baseball team. Understanding that sports are important part of fraternity life, ATO members take them very seriously. This is shown through excellent participation and our outstanding records in intramural sports continually through the years. |
| The men of Alpha Tau Omega spend considerable time helping others. We bring enthusiasm and energy to people who aren't as fortunate as us. We visit homes for the elderly, entertain grade school children and sponsor many charity fundraisers. We also work at the SIU blood drive every semester, collect canned food for churches at Christmas and Thanksgiving and walk to collect money for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Finally, we sponsor Brothers Against Drunk Driving (B.A.D.D.) which allows all brothers to have a safe mode of transportation. | SOCIAL SERVICE |

Alpha Tau Omega enjoys an extensive
social calendar year around with scheduled events, theme
functions, house parties, and an annual Spring Formal. We also engage in many exchanges with the Sororities throughout
the year. We have special events such as Parents Weekend,
Homecoming, Founder's Day, and Brotherhood retreats. At ATO, we work hard and play hard. Balancing academics with social activities makes ATO a great place to be! |

If you decide to join us, your pledgeship
will be a major part of your semester. Pledgeship is an
important time to adjust -- to college, to good scholarship, and
to Greek Life. Our program is designed to encourage men to explore their potential. As a new member, you will form friendships and learn about the history and philosophy of the Fraternity. This will be a busy time in your life, full of rewarding experiences. Leadership, responsibility and respect are all emphasized through the fraternity's activities. After completing a successful pledgeship, you will become initiated into the Brotherhood of Alpha Tau Omega, which will bring a lifetime of benefits.
